Panel:  Nature Connection, Climate Action, and Plant Medicines

Plant and fungal medicines have been used by Indigenous cultures for millennia to cultivate connection with nature and sustain balance within the living world.

In recent centuries, many modern societies have become increasingly disconnected from this relational way of being.

Join this thoughtful conversation with Indigenous perspectives, ecopsychologists, therapists, and plant medicine practitioners as we explore how psychedelic experiences — when approached with care and integrity — may support shifts in consciousness, deepen ecological awareness, and strengthen personal resilience in the face of climate challenges.

Confirmed Speakers:

Amanda Morrison, LMFT, Director of Programs at The Earthbody Institute

Isabel Santis, PhD, Facilitator and Founder, Spiral R-Evolution

Ric Escobedo, Chief of Strategy, KIERI Healing Sanctuary

Panel:  From Crisis to Possibility: Reimagining the Climate Narrative

When we talk about climate, the language often centers on crisis, emergency, and urgency. While the challenges are real, this framing can sometimes leave people feeling overwhelmed or powerless.

What if we told a different story — one that invites people to care deeply and feel empowered to act?

In this engaging talk, climate communication experts, psychologists, and artists will explore new ways of envisioning and speaking about the future — approaches that inspire possibility, strengthen individual agency, and encourage pro-environmental and pro-social action.

Confirmed Speakers:

Renee Lertzman, PhD, Existential strategist, TED, Project InsideOut

Eva Frye, Podcast host, Climate Shifted

Autumn Lyker, Artivist, author, founder, Into the Unknown Together

Adrienne Heinz, PhD, Stanford, VA, Founder, The After Collective

Experiential Workshop:
From Doom to Glimmer: Crafting Stories for a Regenerative Future

In this practical workshop, participants will learn ways to shift their language and create climate narratives to inspire hope and action. You will be guided in this journey by Mareesa Sterz, a gifted story-driven experience designer and facilitator.

"Stories shape us from the moment we’re born — the ones we’re told, the ones we absorb, the ones we never question. They quietly define who we believe we are and what we think is possible.

In a world of endless noise, algorithms, and constant distraction, the stories we choose — and how we tell them — matter more than ever. They become our compass, our signal, and a way to guide both ourselves and others through the chaos." — Mareesa Sterz, Transformative Storytelling Coach

Regenerative Activation:
Distill insights. Spark collaboration. Design next steps.

SF Climate Week is an energizing convergence of ideas, solutions, and passionate people. But with so much happening, it can be challenging to pause, reflect, and translate inspiration into meaningful action.

In this regenerative design workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to step back and integrate what you’ve experienced during the week. Together, we’ll surface your biggest “aha” moments, distill key insights, and explore practical ways to bring new ideas and solutions into your life and work.

You’ll leave feeling connected, refreshed, and clear about how you can actively contribute to the solutions our world needs.

This session will be facilitated by the team at PopUpThinkTank, experts in helping groups make sense of complex challenges and transform insight into action. Through their dynamic facilitation, participants will build shared clarity, spark creative thinking, and harness the momentum of Climate Week to generate practical pathways forward.

Support our work!
